Currently, pegasus-monitord has several command-line options that allow for the selection of what the output mode is. Options are available for turning the database output on and off, for specifying an alternate database URL (default is a sqlite database on the workflow directory), specifying BP file output (instead of database), or specifying a host:port for the event streaming to a broker (AMQP). The idea is to add properties that allow the same options to be selected by the user. Here are the suggested options:

pegasus.monitord (specifies the path of the pegasus-monitord binary that pegasus-run will invoke)
pegasus.monitord.db = true/false (used to enable or disable database output – default is enabled)
pegasus.monitord.db.url (specifies the database URL, default is a sqlite file with the workflow name on the workflow directory)
pegasus.monitord.file (specifies the bp file to output, this option cannot be used with the option above)
pegasus.monitord.log (specifies the location of pegasus-monitord's log file, default is monitord.log in the workflow directory)
pegasus.monitord.amqp = host[:port] (specifies the host, and optional port where pegasus-monitord will send the stream of events)
