It has been requested that the ensemble manager be usable as a REST interface so that other applications can easily build on top of it (current use case is work being done in FlyNet by Eric Lyons http://www.ecs.umass.edu/flynet/).

To be consistent with the monitoring service, OpenAPI 2.0 will be used. An OpenAPI 2.0 spec file needs to be created describing all routes, requests, and responses.
