The BlueWaters documentation recommends using GlobusOnline for file transfers to/from BlueWaters. The documentation does not provide information on GridFTP servers and strongly discourages SCP.

We should look into adding support for GlobusOnline to pegasus-transfer. GO has a REST API that is documented here:

It requires an X.509 certificate, and allows callers to submit and monitor transfer requests, among other things.
